Mark Hanley - Lead Guitar and Vocals

Mark has been playing Guitar since the age of 10 and has been playing continuously in numerous bands except that took a few years off in the early 70s. Mark attended the Music Institute in Hollywood during his early 20s and completed 4 years worth of courses in 1 year. He played a little Grateful Dead music in the early 70s but he is very excited to be playing it now.

Mike Geddes - Rhythm Guitar and Vocals 

Mike is the newest addition to the band and brings with him a passion for Grateful Dead Music that he has had since the age of 11. Mike is a very diverse music lover, from Mantovani to Metallica, and has been performing as a vocalist since High School. His recent local band experiences had him singing everything from Samba/Jazz to Alternative, Metal, Blues, Country, and Classic Rock. In Jerry's Kidz, Mike plays Bobby Weir and has a great time doing it. To quote Mike, "People who come out to the gigs are going to have a great time, but I don't think they'll be having more fun than we are."

Karl Drews - Bass Guitar and Vocals

Being the son of Opera Singer (Elizabeth Ann Jones) Karl was surrounded by Classical and Jazz music in his early years. Starting out singing, Karl sang briefly with the Texas Boys Choir until his voice changed. At the same time Karl started to play the violin, beginning his love of stringed instruments. After moving to San Diego, Karl learned to play the guitar at the age of 10 and started his first band at the age 13. At age 14 Karl switched to Bass and has been playing Bass ever since. 
Karl has played bass guitar and sang with many bands in the Southern California area for over 40 years. They include “Clear Blue”, “Wharf Rat”, “The Remedy”, “Moment’s Notice”, “Graceful Duck”, “Cutting Edge”, “Full Circle”, “Illicit Behavior”. and the MCA recording artists “Clement Forrest”. Karl also played Alternative Rock with the late Peter Duchon from the San Diego based band “The Matter”. 
Karl’s influences include John Entwistle (the Who), Chris Squire (Yes), Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead), Geddy Lee (Rush), Les Claypool (Primus), Roger Waters (Pink Floyd), and Robbie Merrill (Godsmack). 
Karl’s rock-solid bass lines and on-stage experience make him a great foundation for the band Jerry’s Kidz, recreating the improvisational psychedelic bass fusion of rock, jazz and Bach as performed by Phil Lesh and the Grateful Dead

Harold Broadhurst - Drums and Vocal

Harold has been playing Drums for various bands for over 20 years and his main musical influences include Ringo Starr, Gene Krupa, and the drummers from the Grateful Dead. He has been a Dead Head for most of his life and has a lot of experience playing drums in Grateful Dead music.

Bob Viele - Keyboards, Harmonica,  and Vocals

Bob has been playing piano continuously since the age of 4 but has only played Keyboard in bands for the last 10 years. Bob took private piano lessons and classroom instruction through high school and studied music theory. Bob studied and played Pipe Organ in College. Bob only recently started playing the Grateful Dead but he loves doing it.
